SOVIET UNION 1943 WRITER IVAN TURGENEV (1818-1883) SOLO FRANKING FROM LENINGRAD TO THE BURYAT-MONGOLIAN REPUBLIC
Leningrad 1945 – Domestic mail addressed to the ZAKAMENSKY REGION in BURYAT-MONGOLIA, bearing a single 30k Turgenev, tied by the Leningrad cds. Censor and arrival receiver on reverse. Postal tariff of 6 February 1939. Very Fine.
Very scarce usage of the Turgenev issue, with a very scarce Soviet destination close to the Mongolian border (mail to small cities in Buryat-Mongolia are very elusive).
