Leningrad 1941 (1st October) - Inland registered envelope sent from besieged LENINGRAD to Moscow, 1st October 1941. Cancellation Leningrad handstamp, registered boxed N°569B. Censor tape on reverse, along with two arrival strikes from Moscow 09-10-1941. Correctly franked at 60 kopek: 30k inland mail + 30k registration (tariff of February 6, 1939). Envelope carefully opened for display, Very Fine.
Scarce mail sent from Leningrad blockade during the first month of the siege that lasted 872 days (from September 8, 1941 until January 27, 1944).
