SOVIET TEMPORARY POSTMARK: 17th ALL RUSSIAN SOVIET CONGRESS

Moscow 1937 (20 January) - Registered envelope sent locally from the 17th All Russian Soviet Congress, correctly franked at the 30k innercity registered rate (tariff of 25 February 1933, registration 20k). Superb strike of the congress special postmark. Arrival on reverse 21 January 1937. Very Fine.

Very rare, only a few covers are recorded. The All Russian Soviet Congress took place in Moscow from 15 to 21 January 1937.
