SOVIET UNION 1929 DEFINITIVE ISSUE 1 KOPEK: SCARCE LARGE FRANKING
Nizhny Tagil 1932 (10 April) - 1 kopek orange (30), a bloc of thirty on a Domestic Registered envelope to Moscow, paying the correct rate (tariff of 1st June 1931: 15 k + 15 k registration). Cancellation with the postmark "NIZHNYI TAGIL 2 10 4 32 a" (∅ 32mm). Three stamps folded on the edge of the envelope, Very Fine for this kind of envelope.
Rare usage of the 1929 1k Definitive with a very large franking, possibly one of the largest recorded. Exceptional because of the very low probability to use exclusively the smallest facial value to frank a registered item.
