SOVIET UNION 1928 EXPRESS COVER TO TIFLIS GEORGIA
Moscow 1928 (2 June) - "Small Head" 15 kopek (bloc of four) and "Large Head" 8 kopek, paying the correct SPECHNOYE (express) DOMESTIC rate (68 kopek: tariff of 21 December 1926) on an envelope to Tiflis, Georgia. The adhesives are tied by the departure Moscow 1st Expedition Office canceller. Bilingual arrival cds Tiflis on reverse. Small vertical fold on the envelope. Very Fine.

"Spechnoye", or the first Soviet version of the Express mail, was introduced on 7 September 1922.
