USSR 1927 Large Business Reg. Airmail Envelope to England – Multiple Franking Small Heads & Lenin

SOVIET UNION 1927 LARGE BUSINESS INTERNATIONAL REG. AIRMAIL ENVELOPE w/ SMALL HEADS & LENIN COMMEMORATIVE

Leningrad 1927 (29 September) – Large international registered business envelope sent via air to England, franked with a fine combination of Small Heads Definitives 2k, 20k & 50k (all typo on watermarked paper) and 1926 1R Lenin Commemorative. Arrival cds on back, with blue pencils cross applied by the English post (to indicate priority mail). Very Fine and attractive usage.

Note : an heavy sending of probably 18 to 20 weight steps rate, which required 5,22 rubles franking (Tariff of 1st May 1927 : airmail to London 26k each weight step + registration 14 kop) although we are not sure how the postal clerk came up with that particular total amount.
