Franked with 1924 Small Head Definitive 20k paying the correct rate (Tariff of 16 October 1923), tied by the very scarce oval postmark "KINGISSEP 40 LENINGRAD a. -7 3. 25". Transit Leningrad on reverse (7 & 8 march). Fine / Very Fine.

Note: Kingissep was a small locality along the Luga river, about 20km east of Narva. Originally called Yamburg, it was renamed in 1922 after the Estonian communist Viktor Kingissep (1888-1922). The city had about 4,500 inhabitants in 1925.
