Tver, 1912 (24 December) - Domestic congratulatory postcard sent to St Petersburg, correctly franked at the 3 kopek rate with a Romanov adhesive NINE DAYS BEFORE OFFICIAL ISSUE (tariff of 20 March 1879). Very Fine.
One of only two postal usages of any Romanov value before issue (2 January 1913), and the earliest one recorded of the two.
