Mlety, Tiflis Province 1902 (31 May) - Postcard sent to Moscow, 4k Arms slightly overpaying the rate (3 kopek: tariff of 20 march 1879) and tied with the single circle handstamp "MLETY TIFLIS G. 31 MAY 1902" (∅ 24mm, Ashford Type 1). Arrival Moscow 3 June 1902. Very Fine.

Note: Mlety was a small village on the military road between Tiflis and Vladikavkaz, and mentioned in the Baedeker travelling guide. Ashford mentions in his Imperial Stamps Used in Transcaucasia (Part Three, page 183) only two other cards dated 1908 & 1909.
