SOVIET UNION 1942: REGISTERED MAIL FROM FIELD POST OFFICE w/ COMMEMORATIVES
Military Post Office #394, 1942 (11 June) – Domestic Registered envelope sent from the 394th FPO to Tashkent (Soviet Turkestan), bearing two copies of the 1941 30k “Carelian-Finnish SSR” commemoratives, both stamps tied by the military postmark and paying the correct rate (tariff of 6 February 1939: 30k first step + 30k registration). Censor mark and arrival on reverse. Very Fine.
FPO registered mail with Soviet Commemoratives is very scarce, as most of the military mail was sent either 1. Free frank or 2. Franked with the most available Definitives and/or 3. non registered.
