Moscow 1773 (17 June) - A complete and superb strike of a MOSCOV postmark, on a commercial folded entire to Paris, France. Transit handstamp via "Mayseck". 18th Century postmarks of Moscow are surprisingly much scarcer than their St Petersburg counterparts; very early Moscow postmarked mail, with the handstamp here (big "V") being one of the most elusive. Very Fine.
